Awkwafina

American actor and musician Awkwafina began her career with hilarious songs that dealt with sexuality and racial identities with a an incisive and humorous perspective, before broadening her reach to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first musical experience. She played the trumpet. In addition to classical and jazz, Nora Lum started to study hip-hop during her teens. While in the school, she focused on women's studies and journalism. She was also a student of Mandarin for a while in Beijing. It wasn't until she graduated that she begin to concentrate on music. Her 2012 track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet and was later released on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also contained were other viral hits including Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitchethe cost of $. The latter song was linked directly into another venture Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. She opted to pursue a career as an actor after having completed her two previous projects, as an author and musician. Apart from the early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she's been featured in films like Neighbors2Storks as well as Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in 2018 with a few high profile films, including Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP in Fina We Trust.
