Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan) was born to Wayne David Cardellini (a businessman) in Redwood City. Her parents are of Italian, German (from the paternal maternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish heritage. Linda was the eldest child of four in San Francisco Bay, California. She began her interest in acting at age ten, when she sang in a Christmas production at school. She performed in school plays and in local theatres. Linda was a graduate of Saint Francis High School Mountain View, California.
